Collection: MILES DAVIS QUINTET

The Miles Davis Quintet was one of the most influential jazz groups of the 1950s and 1960s. The first lineup (1955) included John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. In the 1960s, the second quintet, featuring Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, innovated modal and post-bop jazz with great expressive freedom.
