Notes
It is with great pleasure that I welcome the release of this third CD by the "Alpe-Adria" Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, dedicated to the music of Pergolesi. On this occasion, I would like to emphasize the original activity of this ensemble, which finds its reference point in its conductor, Maestro Luigi Pistore. In his name, this orchestra refers to the "Alpe-Adria" Working Community, which constituted one of the first examples of cross-border collaboration in years when divisions were still strong. It was precisely in the Alpe-Adria culture that it found fertile ground for meeting and development. Secondly, I find it very important that this musical ensemble "functions" thanks to the presence of many young people from different backgrounds: it is a concrete sign of both a cultural synergy that values young talents and the international projection of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Finally, it is worth noting the activity carried out with attention to the territory, and in this case, offering a deeper knowledge of a great Italian musician like Gian Battista Pergolesi. I wish this CD and the entire "Alpe-Adria" Youth Philharmonic Orchestra the greatest success.
