A tribute to Alessandro Scarlatti, an excellent representative of Italian baroque with a new reading of his Magnificat a 5, balancing solo and choral elements. This masterpiece is accompanied by the intense Salve Regina and a tribute to his son Domenico, with his Te Deum. The intent was then to seal the connection between Renaissance and twentieth-century polyphony with Herbert Howells’s Requiem, to highlight the dialogue between ancient and modern that always proves fascinating and greatly inspiring.
