Eduard van Beinum brings together three different orchestral worlds: Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole, Op. 21 with Alfredo Campoli and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Jean Sibelius’s En Saga and Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

Recordings

The programme moves from Lalo’s concertante virtuosity to Sibelius’s symphonic writing and Stravinsky’s rhythmic and timbral revolution.
