Space Light Color Vol. 1 features the reinterpretations of Acoustic Workshop, a trio comprising Gae Tortorizio on guitar, Mauro Maurizi on double bass and Andrea Donnini on trumpet. The repertoire moves between jazz and pop-rock, revisiting standards and well-known pieces through an acoustic approach focused on dynamics, space and the realism of the recorded environment.

The performance was recorded at Museo Il Cassero in Monte San Savino in June 2002. The original source is digital DAT; for this edition the recording was mastered at Nightingale Studios in August 2025 and finalized onto 1/2-inch analog master tape. It is therefore not an AAA production: the final stage for the vinyl master is analog, while the original source is DAT.

The lacquer was cut using a Neumann VMS 70 lathe, Ortofon DSA 731 cutter head, Neumann SAL 74B system and Audio Research VT60 tube power amplifier.
