Let me explain: a little less than twenty years ago I had the opportunity to hear Philip Catherine and Larry Coryell in concert playing pieces by Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall. Then I met Joe Pass, Barney Kessel, Kenny Burrel. Then Pat Metheny, George Benson, Robben Ford and many others were added to the golden list. And of course Charlie Parker, Chet Baker, Michel Petrucciani, Toots Thielemans." This album is intended to be a tribute to the great Masters cited.
