When my friend Marco Lincetto sent me this music so I could write something about it, my mind took a seemingly simple and reductive direction, based on quantity.

How many good CDs did Marco produce? How many of these are related to Massimo Salvagnini? How many of these have I written an introduction? The next step, given my age, was to ask me "how much longer"? How many CDs can I still comment on? How many good CDs can Marco still produce? And how much music can Salvagnini record?

As you can see, moving the cursor along the time line makes us realize that the value of our actions, and even our intentions, depend on the perspective from which we have performed them. The first CD is different from the last.

We would like to always remain in a never-ending perspective, but there comes the point where you understand that history will go on without us, and maybe someone with time to waste can put our lives back in order in a way that is impossible for ourselves.

The wonderful aspect of these reflections, made listening to the tracks of this CD, is that only at the end I realized that humans have always asked themselves such questions while observing the Moon, Knowing that the big ball around us will continue to spin for a long time even after the hum of our lives is over. Somehow, in this music I found just this state of mind, indeed, a real feeling.
