JUST FOR YOU! - singolo CD

JUST FOR YOU! - singolo CD

€ 18,00

E dunque il titolo - JUST FOR YOU! This album is a concept by Marco Lincetto The goal is to offer a tribute to several of the most important songs of the history of the last 100 years, composed, played and originally recorded during the Progressive Rock Era between the Sixties and the Seventies. It's an act of love to the extraordinary generation of artists and all the people who loved, and yet love, this music living their lives with Prog as the own original soundtrack. So the title - JUST FOR YOU! - want to be an affectionate dedication to all this people from Marco Lincetto, who think to be one of them: "First of all, we produced a musical project that we love to listen to!".  In this LP there is a song, that Marco Lincetto loves so much: it's "C'è un Paese al Mondo", written and played and originally recorded by the MAXOPHONE, a Prog band from Italy in the Seventies. This original cover is dedicated to Sergio Lattuada, one of the founders and leader of the MAXOPHONE, who passed away few years ago.

Marco Lincetto   ILLEGALOVE is a concept album. It's a musical journey to discover the secrets of Love: that one a little bit desperate, sometimes accursed, told us by some of the most famous international rock and pop songs from the last 40 years. According to the famous "Velut Luna Style", Chiara Pastò, Enrico Santacatterina and Massimo Tuzza offer not simple covers of some of the most famous songs ever, but new astonishing performances, due to the original arrangements by Enrico Santacatterina, including various different guitars - 12 strings, dobro, XOX, Godin... - absolutely new sounds from sinth machine, the rich colors granted by the percussions of Massimo Tuzza and last but not least, the impressive and crystal clear voice of Chiara Pastò. C'ERA UNA VOLTA IN ROMAGNA - Danze tribali del popolo del Liscio

C'ERA UNA VOLTA IN ROMAGNA - Danze tribali del popolo del Liscio

€ 18,00

C'ERA UNA VOLTA IN ROMAGNA, danze tribali del popolo del Liscio (trans.: Once Upon A Time in Romagna, Tribal Dances of the Liscio Style's People) Velut Luna CVLD 252 Introduction The idea of this LP starts from a sincere curiosity about our cultural roots and is the result of a musical journey that brought us to cast aside all the xenophilous trends that, in the arts, seemed to afflict us. The recovery of this music is done with great creativity. The language used to approach the songs is the language of traditional jazz, but the sound, with keyboards and electric guitars, gives some rock nuances to the whole product. Until a short time ago, and still now, the word “Liscio” was associated, in the imagination of most people, to a ignorant subculture made of elderly gentlemen and prosperous ladies, who gathered in shiny clothes dancing to this corny music. The exhumation of Liscio and its people may sound as the discovery of a cannibal tribe from Indochina, with all its rituals and practices. The stereotype helps, but there is so much more to be said about this world: amazing orchestras, led by great composers and musicians such as Carlo Brighi, Secondo Casadei, Ivano Nicolucci, Castellina-Pasi, were there for 50 years, playing 35 concerts per month to please their audience. The people from Romagna is marked from this story beyond repair, and this is true both for those who are part of this world and for those who snubs it . The Romagna folk music has nothing to envy to other Folk Music styles from all over the world, which enjoy greater consideration, such as blues, tango, salsa and musette...on the contrary... Credits 24bit/88.2kHz original live-in-studio recording made at Teatro Pedrini, Brisighella, Italy on April 14th - 15th - 16th, 2014 24bit/88.2kHz digital mix and analog mastering (DAD) made at Velut Luna Studios, Casalserugo, Italy, on April 18th, 2014 Production: Velut Luna & Mr Zombie Orchestra Executive producer: Marco Lincetto Recording engineer: Marco Lincetto Assistant recording engineer: Michele Bartoletti Stella Mix & mastering engineer: Marco Lincetto Design+Layout: Luca Shivendra Om Cover Photo: Torquato Nanni Sales and marketing manager: Patrizia Pagiaro link al video su youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpDD8LNqEXk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuANjPScuYU link ad articoli critici sulla stampa on line: http://asapfanzine.blogspot.it/2014/05/mr-zombie-orchestra-cera-una-volta-in.html http://www.tempi-dispari.com/archives/25618 http://www.iyezine.com/mr-zombie-orchestra-cera-volta-in-romagna-danze-tribali-popolo-liscio/ http://www.brainstormingmagazine.it/2014/05/cera-una-volta-romagna-secondo-album-dei-mr-zombie-orchestra/ http://www.deliriprogressivi.com/musica/nuovo-album-per-la-mr-zombie-orchestra-cera-una-volta-in-romagna-in-uscita-il-3-giugno-2014

It’s always difficult to talk about something that involves you directly. Like, for example, of an album for which you take care of the artistic production. And an album, if you have decided to devote yourself to it, to offer it your time, your skills, your commitment, is like a son. Although you didn’t write it, or perform it, you end up being part of it. I have produced about twenty albums, I could’ve produce more, maybe, but I always chose to work with and for the quality. Presenting this album, this one, is even more difficult because we are talking about two sons, plus a few adopted ones. It’s not a secret, Jacopo, Sick 4 Milk’s leader, is my son. I have known some of his adventure pals since they had just started to wear long trousers, some since when I still had the slight hope of keeping some hair on my head. Have I artistically produced my son’s album? No, even though there wouldn’t be anything wrong with this: I produced Sick 4 Milk’s first album, a band of which I’ve been a fan since the first concerts at some roman pubs. I’m hypercritical with my sons, with the legitimated and the adopted. I have been so for all these years (not so many, but a lot compared to the age of the band’s members), until, as passionate and professional in the “music and similar” business, I understood that this talent, obvious since long time ago, penetrated deep down these guys’ souls, leading them to an artistic maturity that some groups more from my time than theirs, still haven’t reached. I didn’t decide to do an album: chatting one night with Marco Lincetto, I asked him to listen to a piece, the first one in unplugged version that was on youtube, just to have his opinion. Marco, after a few minutes wrote to me: Excellent, I want to do this album. I didn’t have to struggle or convince anybody and this was a great relief. And it gave me confort in my assumption of knowing music well and of recognising talents, in other words of knowing how to do my beautiful job. I obviously knew that the Velut Luna recording would have been of high quality, it was perfect indeed. Then come what may, these guys are talented, not only in music, and this being talented in many other things other than music, is in my opinion the reason why at their young age they already look like a mature and famous group. Because I never believed in talent without intelligence and knowledge or at least the desire to learn. And forgive me if I badly quoted Miles Davis. If I may say, I will end this short presentation with a genetic-affective-animistic note: The acoustic ovation that Jacopo plays is the one that belonged to his uncle Danilo who left it prematurely as an inheritance to his unworthy brother who passed it to his son (a very long loan) It is the number 1037, the first to arrive to Italy. And in the last 35 years it played very well its role treading the stage all over Italy and around the world without ever missing a beat.

So we can listen to just Paola Casula’s voice and Alessandro Mozzi’s grandpiano (who has composed all the arrangements in jazzy style): a perfect way to find again the pure music, forgoing all the arrangements of the original ones.
