C'ERA UNA VOLTA IN ROMAGNA, danze tribali del popolo del Liscio (trans.: Once Upon A Time in Romagna, Tribal Dances of the Liscio Style's People) Presentazione L’idea dell’album nasce da una sincera curiosità nell’approfondire le proprie radici ed è il risultato di un percorso che ci ha visto spogliarci man mano delle mode esterofile che, in materia artistica, ci attanagliano. Il recupero di questa musica viene compiuto con viva creatività. Il linguaggio con cui si approcciano i brani è quello del grande insieme del Jazz, ma le sonorità, con tastiere e chitarra elettrica, portano delle sfumature più rock al tutto. Fino a poco tempo fa, e spesso tutt’ora, la parola Liscio veniva associata, nell’immaginario dei più, ad una subcultura buzzurra di anziani e signore prosperose, che si ritrovava con abiti luccicosi a ballare questa infima musica. La riesumazione del Liscio e del suo popolo può sembrare ai più la scoperta di una tribù cannibale dell’Indocina e delle sue pratiche. Lo stereotipo aiuta, ma c’è anche altro in questo mondo: incredibili orchestre, capitanate da grandi compositori e musicisti come Carlo Brighi, Secondo Casadei, Ivano Nicolucci, Castellina-Pasi, si sono alternate per cinquant’anni, facendo 35 concerti al mese per soddisfare il loro pubblico. La gente della Romagna è segnata da questa storia in modo irreparabile, e questo vale sia per chi fa parte di questo mondo sia per chi lo snobba. Il Folklore Romagnolo è una musica che non ha nulla da invidiare ad altre musiche di estrazione popolare del resto del mondo, che godono di migliore considerazione, come il blues, il tango, la salsa, la musette ecc...anzi... Uno degli aspetti rilevanti di questo sesto album ufficiale dei Twenty Four Hours è la collaborazione, per il sesto album della band, dei membri fondatori dei Tuxedomoon Blaine L. Reininger e Steven Brown. Blaine suona il violino e canta, mentre Steven suona il sax rispettivamente nei brani "Intertwined" e "All The World Needs is Love". Inoltre sono incluse ben due cover del mitico pezzo dei Tuxedomoon "What Use" in versione elettronica e acustica.  Il nuovo album, doppio, è ispirato volutamente, nella forma e nella sostanza, ai quattro album bianchi più importanti della storia del rock:  Closer dei Joy Divion, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway dei Genesis, White Album dei The Beatles e The Wall dei Pink Floyd A differenza del precedente Left-To-Live, non si tratta di un concept album, ma di una raccolta di brani che abbracciano molte fasi della vita creativa della band comprendenti anche vene ambient ("Intertwined"), una lunga suite ispirata a Supper's Ready dei Genesis ("Supper's Rotten"), ove viene esasperata la profonda mutazione dei valori, rispetto a quelli del passato, brani rock ("The Tale of The Holy Frog") e punk (77). In quest'ultimo, che apre l'album, si incontrano atmosfere aggressive PUNK con echi dei King Crimson, con una spettacolare battaglia finale senza esclusione di colpi fra organo Hammond e chitarra Hendrixiana.  La produzione è stata curata da Paolo Lippe e Andrea Valfrè, mentre il mix e mastering in dominio totalmente analogico sono stati affidati all'ormai consolidato duo Valfrè/Lincetto che hanno agito in sinergia per offrire una qualità sonora straordinaria.  Biografia completa:  https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty_Four_Hours The band collaborate with the founding members of the Tuxedomoon Blaine L. Twenty Four Hours is an Italian progressive rock band with various influences, including the psychedelic one that is the predominant element. After their first album, strongly encouraged by Nick Saloman (The Bevis Frond) and entitled "The Smell of The Rainy Air", a self -produced vinyl in January 1991 (published on the day after the outbreak of the Gulf War), the group has acquired a certain notoriety thanks to the welcome of specialized music critics signaled the debut of the band among the best releases of 1991.  In 1992, following this small and unexpected success, the band was hired by Mellow Records of Sanremo, a label specializing in progressive rock, and later by the French label Musea. In 1994, Mellow published the second album, "Intolerance," and reprinted The Smell Of The Rainy Air on CD.  In 1999, Musea published the third album, Oval Dreams, which became their best seller  and is also available on iTunes, the popular Apple platform for online sales of liquid music. The band has also participated in some compilations of Progressive Rock and has published, under Creative Commons, a collection of previously unreleased tracks titled Before and After The Boundary. The band's latest album, The Sleepseller, was published in 2004 in collaboration with Musea who oversaw the distribution. "Project One": un progetto discografico Velut Luna che nasce grazie all'amicizia ed alla lunga collaborazione musicale ed artistica del M° Marco Lo Muscio con tre nomi iconici della musica Progressive e contemporanea: David Jackson, John Hackett e Steve Hackett. Il progetto è un grande omaggio, con arrangiamenti totalmente acustici, ai vari stili della grande musica del '900 e contemporanea. L'impianto base vede il suono gotico e sinfonico dell'organo a canne amalgamato insieme alla potenza dei sassofoni di David Jackson. La chitarra di Steve Hackett ed il flauto di John Hackett aggiungono il tocco finale in alcuni speciali arrangiamenti nati appositamente per questo progetto discografico. I compositori scelti provengono dal mondo della musica del '900 e contemporanea (Benjamin Britten, György Ligeti, Aaron Copland, George Martin e Marco Lo Muscio), delle colonne sonore (Wojciech Kilar), del Jazz moderno (Jan Garbarek) e del Progressive (King Crimson, Genesis, Van Der Graaf Generator, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Pink Floyd, David Jackson e Steve Hackett). L'ascolto in chiave acustica di queste musiche farà scoprire nuove sfumature e dettagli; si potrà capire anche quanto la musica Progressive interpretata in questa chiave sia effettivamente molto vicina ed influenzata dalla musica classica del '900.
