JAZZ: original composition by R. Zegna, P. Birro, A. Zambrini, M. Tonolo, O. Del Barba, M. Parente, D. Ellington, H. Carmichel-M. Parish. Piano R. Zegna, P. Birro, A. Zambrini, M. Tonolo, O. Del Barba, M. Parente. Recording was made at Magister Area Studio, Preganziol, Italy. the piano was always the same Steinway & Sons Concert Grandpiano built in new York on 1930.

Only one piano, just the same, always the same, set exactly in the same place, recorded using the same microphones, which were always set up exactly at same distance from the source.
And then six of the best Italian jazz pianist: everyone of them called to play about ten minutes of music, with no bonds of musical repertory, just to communicate the best feeling of their own musical world. Totally and strictly live-in-studio with no post-production editing allowed.
I produced this recording project just to demonstrate how many differences you could find listening to different pianists, and how the same piano could plays different, when different pianists plays it.
Usually, different pianos in different environments recorded using different microphones set-up not allow to appreciate the intimate musical touch of different pianists.
With no respect for the music and for the artists…
