Full digital recording studio, Casalecchio di Reno (BO) Italy, recorded on September 2005. Marco Lo Russo, accordion, Tiziano Zanotti, double bass. Darabukke ( or tarabuka) is a chalice-like clay drum which was originally used by the pre-islamic Egyptian populations during their rituals. It is during a celebration that stories are told from generation to generation, and traditions and rites are rediscovered; where the music is the real protagonist, narrating faraway tales. There is no category for this music; contemporary sound, alive today while reminding of more or less ancient times here and elsewhere. There are no categories for the instruments; polyphonic and monodic, melodic and percussive, playing solo or in duo, always mixing the listening levels. There is no category for what we are writing and listening. Roberto Di Cecco

New classic-minimal. Music composed by Roberto Jonata except track 13 "Kiss the rain" - Yiruma. Roberto Jonata piano. 24/96 Digital Recording mix and mastering at Magister Area Studios, Preganziol, Italy on January 19, 2012. Roberto Jonata returns with a new album, deeply inspired and self-composed to color the sounds of our existence. “I wanted to translate into music the need of hope which today, more than ever, we perceive. Each and every note reminds us that a world of endurance and belief embraces the sad stories we come across during our migration through life. A ready-to-react world, a world made of people and things, small stains of color printed on faded, black and white photograph.” Creativity and passion, poetry and tradition are the outstanding ingredients of this masterpiece. “Colors” contains pieces composed by the very same musician who draws on personalized “new classic” sonorities influenced by a minimalist romanticism which is his distinguishing mark.

"PARMA - Hidden and Imaginary Landscapes" starts from the surprise aroused by the soundscapes re-emerged due to the measures to counter and contain the Covid 19 virus. Suddenly we found sonic environments disrupted by the lack of human traffic. It is as if the sites had returned to breathing, reappropriating their original noises, the life connected to them, putting back on the comfortable clothes of their history. This was an opportunity that could not be missed: we immediately tried to capture the breath of frequented, loved or significant places. There were many attempts and elaborations, but we believe we have found a synthesis, both for the means used and for the intention expressed. We have tried to elaborate "something" that can go beyond sound, engraving memory, allowing a projection that becomes connatural to the landscapes themselves, which will never be the same again.
