Certamente per via della mia storia famigliare, con mio papà che fu illustre pianista classico e compositore raffinato, e mia mamma cantante lirica.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMa certamente in quegli anni della prima infanzia era grande il fascino che suscitavano in me quei padelloni neri che giravano sul vecchio giradischi di famiglia e da cui uscivano le mie favole preferite, narrate da grandi voci di grandi attori (ricordo ad esempio, Nando Gazzolo e la sua\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cb\u003eCappuccetto Rosso\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e, e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cb\u003eHansel e Grethel,\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/i\u003ee\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cb\u003ePollicino\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e, i cui dischi ho letteralmente consumato...).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAttorno agli otto o nove anni il passaggio dalle favole ai 45 giri dei Beatles alla fine della loro carriera (Obladì, Obladà), oppure a quella sonorità inconsueta e sconosciuta del Theremin usato in Good Vibrations dei Beach Boys, fu un fatto del tutto naturale.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eE quando a 13 anni cominciai progressivamente a scoprire Santana, i Pink Floyd, i Genesis, etc.etc.etc., uniti alla lettura di Suono e Stereoplay, fu altrettanto naturale incapricciarmi con le immagini dei grandi registratori a bobine dell'epoca, adatti agli allora rari home studio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIl mio primo amore, tanto sognato e mai posseduto, fu il Tascam 80-8, otto tracce su nastro da mezzo pollice. E i microfoni dei sogni erano i Sennheiser, gli MD441 e gli MD421... Eseguito per la prima volta a Mosca nel 1901 con lo stesso compositore al pianoforte, nel corso del tempo ha maturato un successo di critica e di pubblico sempre crescente, fino ad essere stato utilizzato spesso anche come parte della colonna sonora in alcuni dei più celebri film hollywoodiani fra gli anni ’50 e ’60 (Rapsodia, Quando la Moglie è in Vacanza, etc.). Questo “impiego” ha consentito a questo capolavoro della musica di fissarsi nell’immaginario collettivo come icona del romanticismo ad ampio spettro inteso. E’ stato registrato da praticamente tutti i più grandi interpreti e da tutte le più grandi orchestre del mondo, anche se a parere mio l’interpretazione di riferimento, in qualche modo definitiva è quella proposta dal grande pianista statunitense Van Cliburn, con La Chicago Symphony Orchestra diretta da Fritz Reiner nel 1958. Velut Luna propone questa particolarissima versione cameristica per pianoforte e quartetto d’archi realizzata da Jeremy Liu, fino ad oggi inedita su disco. Convenzionalmente, e da sempre, noi abbiamo stabilito che l’immagine sonora delle nostre registrazioni debba estendersi ovviamente in larghezza, altezza e profondità, ma queste tre dimensioni devono sostanzialmente essere comprese in un rettangolo che si estende in larghezza fra il punto centrale del diffusore di destra fino al punto centrale del diffusore di sinistra, con il fronte anteriore sostanzialmente allineato fra i due diffusori e il limite più arretrato posizionato a circa un metro e mezzo indietro rispetto all’asse orizzontale anteriore dei diffusori stessi.
