Thus, the surprising dissonances in the introduction emerge clearly, and despite the fluidity, the textures of the tutti in the main Allegro are commendably clean. In No. 25, the \"little\" G minor, Muti is fast and impetuous in the first movement, without the sense of an early work, and in the second movement, the Andante, he keeps the violins unmuted, more sharply highlighting the tonal contrasts with the woodwinds in the alternating phrases. The various wind solos, from piccolo to trumpet, are wittily characterized.
