They all share the singular characteristic of being in G major, except for Mercadante's concerto, which is nevertheless composed within the soundscape of the relative minor, E minor. Divided into three movements, they follow the usual scheme of a faster, denser first movement, a more lyrical and cantabile second movement, and a lively and technically brilliant third movement.
